Birchbox – Be Present, Not Perfect 2018

Birchbox – Be Present, Not Perfect 2018

Since my last post my subscription to Birchbox has been a rocky one. After receiving my first box in December I then did not receive a January. I sent Birchbox a email about this and was told that due to it being a gift subscription the December box was an intro box. I would then be sent monthly boxes from February. It didn’t sit right with me.

After my sister then got involved (as she purchased the gift subscription) Birchbox then agreed to send a January box. November 2017 arrived. After another round of emails January arrived mid-February. I then didn’t receive February. To come to the end of the story my subscription has restarted with March and should now be easy breezy.

Now to the March box…

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Radiance Split Pan Bronzer & Highlighter Duo £17.00

This duo is exquisite. The pigment within both the highlight and bronzer is so beautiful. It also lasts really well on top of my high street foundation. At £17 for a full size I am considering making the purchase as its for sure going to last.

Oribe Apres Beach Wave & Shine Spray £36.00

At uni I always tried to get the tousled beach wave look using salt water in a spray bottle (low budget or what). Having used this just the once I can safely say that this does what it says on the can. The texture of my hair is so pliable and it looks like I’ve spent the morning surfing. The fragrance… I would wear it as a perfume. However the can is a hefty £36!!! As much as I am obsessed with this product I can’t afford the price of a full size.

Baija Gommage Festin Royal Miel Caramélisé £14.90

Oh my goodness!!! This is divine. I could sit and smell it all day. Baija please make a candle with the same scent as this product!!! It really scrubbed up my skin too, leaving me with the softest legs and arms. I will be buying this. This week. And next month. For life.

Benefit BADgal BANG! Volumising Mascara £21.50

I wore this mascara to work and had the most compliments I’ve ever had (don’t know if thats a good or bad thing lol). My eyes were so bright, framed by the most beautiful full and big lashes. I always have the biggest problem removing mascara at the end off the day. Not with this product. This will be heading full-size to my make up collection very soon.

BLAQ Hydrogel Eye Mask £22.00

This was my first experience with an eye mask. I love full face masks and I was very skeptical. I did think it brightened up my face but its not for me. Give me a full mask any time.

I’m glad that all of the admin issues have been sorted with the company and I really hope that it doesn’t happen again. Overall the March box is fabulous. I love the patterning on the box itself and I’ve found some definite must haves for my own collection.

Did you get the March box? What do you think?

Love as always,
